Ask Amy
Dear Amy: What are the responsibilities of having a Web site, and do you have some advice for a kid looking to make one?--Kellie, Tampa, FL
Dear Kellie: That's a great question. As a future Webmaster, you do have the responsibility for being fair to artists and to the people who have contributed to your Web site. Giving an artist credit and including a copyright notice may not be enough. A good online resource that talks about this topic is an article from FNO, an educational journal, at http:// fromnowon.org/ jun96/ legal.html.

Dear Amy: My grandmother says she'll buy a computer if I teach her how to use the Internet. Where do I start?--Tim, Dallas, TX
Dear Tim: I like "Learn the Net" at www.learnthenet.com/ english/ index.html. It has a panel called "Start Here" and another panel that displays the information. You could just go down the list and teach your grandmother about each feature the Internet offers. It has more than words, too. There are pictures of browser software and of modem configurations that will help you explain things to her. I think what you're doing is great; everyone who knows how to use the Internet should teach someone else about it.
