Dear Amy: I see so much trash everywhere; how can I help clean up the environment? -Denny, Moline, IL

Dear Denny: There are lots of sites on the Web about the environment. As they say, we should think globally and act locally. At the Glad Bag-o-Thon www.gladbagathon.com/ GLAD_menu.htm Web site you can learn how to get started and organize a clean-up right where you live. Check out "Talkin' Trash. " There is a recycling quiz, photo album and a list of some strange findings. Read the safety tips before you start, too. (This site is no longer available.)

Dear Amy: What is Quicktime VR? How does it work on the Web? -Cheryl, Providence, RI

Dear Cheryl: QuickTime VR is software for Macintosh and Windows that brings virtual reality to your computer's WWW browser without any special equipment. By putting the mouse's cursor into a downloaded Quicktime VR "panoramic " photograph you can make the picture scroll to the left or the right in a complete circle. These pictures can even have hot spots and link to more pictures for a "virtual tour " of a museum or college campus. Check out "A Wrinkle in Time " at http://hotspotshawaii.com/wrinklehome.html to visit places around the world. There are links to download the software you will need.
