The Halifax Explosion Issue Date: 06-13-2004

One fateful day, the Imo and the explosives-filled ship Mont-Blanc collided, shooting shrapnel as far as three miles away. City of Ruins tells about the destruction the explosion caused. More than 10,000 people were wounded or killed. Recovery took many years, but the incident led to important changes in the international maritime standards and treaties we have today.
