The History Channel Traveler can help make even a short trip to grandma's house a trip back in time. There is a historic place of interest nearly anywhere you can think of to go in the USA, and this Web site can point the way. Start by finding historic places near your home from the regional maps. You might be surprised to find some points of interest nearby. You don't have to drive to check out the Itineraries and Features for things like historic Civil War sites, presidential homes or even historic holiday locations. But, if you are driving, don't worry about getting lost. There are interactive maps to help you plan your trip right down to the highways and hotels.
