You will also get to choose how big your new planet will be, but keep in mind that the bigger your world, the thicker the atmosphere. Use your smarts to determine its age as well. When you have made all the tough choices, you can then download a picture of your creation. How did you do?

Cool Spots imageOn Earth Day, check out some special pictures of our planet at NASA's EarthKAM, https://earthkam.ucsd.edu. Dr. Sally Ride, the first woman in space, began this project back in 1995 because so many students wanted to see how the Earth looked from outer space. This awesome website allows kids to make special photo requests of specific locations on Earth during EarthKAM missions to the International Space Station. Click on The Gallery to see the various image collections taken with a super high-tech digital camera. It’s really out of this world.
