To get to the National Baseball Hall of Fame, you can either get 3000 hits and pitch 10 no-hitters, or you can head to www.baseballhallof fame.org. The Baseball Hall of Fame Web site offers history and trivia about the game. Read bios on any of the 254 Hall of Famers, including Ozzie Smith, the newest inductee. The Collections and Exhibits feature famous baseball achievements and events. Games and Activities will test your baseball knowledge with trivia quizzes. Dear Kimberly: The three main components for storing information on a computer are the hard drive, ROM and RAM. The hard drive is the computer's main storage con-tainer. According to www.brainpop.com/tech/computeranddigital/computer/index.weml, it has several hard, magnetic disks that store information in the form of bits. Computers also contain ROM and RAM. ROM, or Read-Only Memory, stores permenant information. It's similar to your long-term memory. RAM, or Random Access M emory, stores temporary information, which is similar to your short-term memory. Dear Dan: According to a study using a licking machine at Purdue University, the answer to this question, which has plagued youngsters for more than 30 years, is 364. Thus, the answer to one of life's greatest questions is still a mystery.
